Join a team of dedicated individuals transforming lives inside correctional facilities.

Welcome to Another Way To Go, where we believe in transforming lives and empowering communities.

Through our diverse programs, we strive to break the cycle of incarceration and facilitate a journey towards fulfilling citizenship.

“The guys who complete the Another Way To Go Program don’t come back to prison”

Three connected ways AWTG supports transformation

  • A woman with curly hair closed eyes and a serene expression, wearing an orange shirt, is illuminated by natural light creating shadows on her face.

Transforming the Lives of Inmates Within Prison

The six-month Another Way To Go Program gives inmates a new context for their lives and emphasizes integrity, forgiveness, and empowerment.

  • A support group meeting with diverse participants seated in a circle, with one man placing his hand on a woman's shoulder.

Creating Community Leaders Outside of Prison

Freedom by Design involves returning citizens leading groups and coaching participants to become leaders in their own communities through interactive sessions focused on current issues.

  • A male student holding a blue binder in a school hallway with rows of lockers behind him.

    Granting Scholarships to Further Education

The Mahin Bina Memorial Scholarship encourages returning citizens formerly incarcerated in U.S. state or federal correctional institutions to further their education and demonstrate leadership in their communities.

Meet Ricardo: A Story of Transformation

  • “By taking and applying the tools and coaching learned in the AWTG Program I have already been able to develop better relationships with family, friends, and acquaintances. I have a more positive attitude and view myself as the person who can make a difference.”
