Empowering individuals & communities for a life of purpose, integrity & freedom

Welcome to Another Way To Go, where we believe in transforming lives and empowering communities. Through our diverse programs, we strive to break the cycle of incarceration and facilitate a journey towards fulfilling citizenship.

“The guys who complete the Another Way To Go Program don’t come back to prison”

Our Programs

  • Transforming the Lives of Inmates Within Prison

The six-month Leadership Training and Transformational Thinking Program program gives inmates a new context for their lives and emphasizes integrity, forgiveness, and empowerment. Participants identify missing elements like respect and teamwork and design projects to address them.

  • Creating Community Leaders Outside of Prison

The Freedom by Design involves returning citizens leading groups, coaching participants to become leaders in their own communities through interactive sessions that focus on current issues. The program encourages participants to rediscover their pre-incarceration interests and passions.

  • Granting Scholarships to Further Education

The Mahin Bina Memorial Scholarship encourages returning citizens, men or women formerly incarcerated in a U.S. state or federal correctional institution, to further their education and demonstrate leadership in their communities. It can be applied towards any degree or certification.
